First of all I want to apologize for sending a bad review. I overlooked an amount, I send my daughter 150.00 and there was a process fee of $25.00. Obviously my math was wrong and I expected my daughter to received $150.00 instead of $125.00 . The money was immediately deposited to my daughters account. I was able to speak to someone and explain my situation. (regarding not paying close attention) I recommend this Company and will use again.

I can’t deny I was a bit skeptical at first, but I was in a pinch so I decided to give it an shot and I am extremely grateful that I did. Easy to use, fast processing ($ deposited at facility within 24-48 hours; I don’t have exact time). Very responsive and professional when I inquired how long it would take after I used Zelle for my payment, I was impressed! Only negative are the fees…$50 fee to deposit over $150 is excessive to me so I deposited less than I otherwise would have.

- LA County – on average deposits will post the same day – within 24 hours
- Orange County – on average deposits will post – within 48 hours

- Please include the inmate’s name, booking number, and order number in the “memo” section.
- Please send a copy of your state-issued ID, the credit card you would like to use for the transaction, and a selfie to 424.269.0869. We will contact you to get approval before charging your credit card.
- No – You do not need to know the Inmate’s housing location to place an order.
- However, if you wish to know the housing location of your loved one, please refer to the Search Locator Tool provided to locate your loved one.
- JailMoney accepts orders and payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- We encourage you to place your order at least 24 hours in advance, if possible.
- If incorrect information is received, the order processing may be delayed by 24 hours. Please be sure to enter the correct inmate’s name and booking number on EVERY order placed.
- Please refer to the Search Locator Tool provided to find the Inmate’s booking number.
- An order can be delayed for several reasons
- The Inmate’s name and/or booking number were not provided or was incorrect. Please be sure to include your name and phone number on EVERY order placed, so we can contact you if we have questions or issues with your order.
- The order was placed after 6p PST.
- The inmate will receive the funds on the next scheduled delivery date. Please refer to the delivery schedule under Facility Deadlines.
- The Sheriff Department’s computer system was down or temporarily unavailable for processing orders.
- The inmate will receive the deposited funds on the next scheduled delivery date. Please refer to the delivery schedule under Facility Deadlines.
- Yes, you can receive a refund, minus the transaction fee. The request must be submitted before 6p PST the day the order was placed, and the funds have not been deposited into the Inmate’s commissary account.
- If the deposit has been made, JailMoney cannot issue a refund. The deposited funds will be given to the inmate upon release.
- To request a refund, please contact JailMoney at hello@jailmoney.comor complete the contact form on this webpage.
- JailMoney will immediately process a ‘Refund Request’ on the same day the order was placed, prior to 6p PST, and before the deposit is transferred into the inmate’s commissary account. Otherwise, a refund cannot be issued.
- A transaction fee will apply and be deducted from the amount of the refund.
- The delay could be due to the order being placed after 6p PST. Please note, we make every effort possible to ensure our inmates receive the deposited funds as quickly as possible.
- The Sheriff Department’s computer system was down for a scheduled maintenance or temporarily unavailable for processing orders. The Inmate will receive the deposited funds on the next scheduled delivery date.
